CoroCoro Comic (Japanese: コロコロコミック, KoroKoro Komikku) is a Japanese manga magazine published by Shogakukan. It is currently published monthly. The magazine was launched on May 15, 1977, and is aimed for the young boys as its target readers.
About the magazine[]
CoroCoro Comic was originally conceived as a place to house old chapters of Doraemon and other Fujiko Fujio's works. It soon became a popular place for various children-aimed manga to publish on.
Being aimed at children, the magazine usually publishes manga that usually follows their interests. It also publishes various hobby manga and manga adaptations of video games, usually more comedic than the source materials for the latter. Numerous manga published on the magazine were adapted into anime adaptations.
CoroCoro Comic had also spawned numerous sister magazines, including Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic, CoroCoro Ichiban! and CoroCoro Aniki.
Various manga focusing on the Mini 4WD, notably Dash! Yonkuro and Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!, were serialized on the magazine.
