It was featured in the on-going manga Hyper Dash! Yonkuro as one of the street Mini 4WD racers' machines.
The Abilista features the featuring the long-nose, short-deck GT car body design, with a air intake protruded from the bonnet and a large GT wing attached on the rear.
It is mainly in white, with blue, silver and gold stripes. The Tamiya logo decals, the 'MA Chassis' decals and a 'Abilista' decal can be found on the bodyshell.
It was equipped with the white, small diameter dish-type low-profile wheels paired with the black low-profile slick tires. The chassis frame and the A parts were molded in gray and light gray respectively.
Clear Purple Special
The Tamiya Modeler's Gallery-exclusive variant featuring the bodyshell molded in clear purple, wheels and tires molded in purple and chassis A parts molded in white.
Japan Cup 2018 Limited Edition
The Japan Cup variant of the Abilista features the red bodyshell with the Japan Cup-inspired body decals on it.
It was equipped with the gun metal, small diameter low-profile A-spoke wheels paired with the black super hard low-profile tires. The chassis frame was molded in the white polycarbonate-mixed ABS plastic and the A parts were molded in the white POM (Polyoxymethylene) plastic.
In the manga
The Abilista, along with Astralster and Raikiri, are racing machines belongs to the street Mini 4WD participants. They were however, unfortunately got rammed out of the circuit by Tankuro's Burning Sun.
